I have over 25 years of systems and manufacturing experience. My strong Logistics involvement provides me a broad knowledge pool to draw from.  My SAP R/3 experience involves both Configuration and Project Management.  I have extensive experience in the SAP Quality Management and Materials Management Modules, plus strong integration into Production Planning, Sales and Finance.

Huntsman Chemical (Houston, TX) – SAP R/3 - Quality Management Lead – Key Items: 7 month project with three product line rollouts.  Inspection Types included (01 Purchase Goods Receipt Inspections, 04 Production Goods Receipt Inspections, 89 Miscellaneous Inspections and 09 Shelf Life Recurring Inspections).  Key focus on automatically providing Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of compliance during outbound shipments using predefined Certificate Profiles.  Certificate of Analysis values being pulled from inspections results recorded in inspection lots.  Top priority on certificate standardization with few customer exceptions (customer specific profiles) when required.  Also, use of QMIDI interface functionality at one of the business units for passing inspection lots and results between external LIMS system and SAP QM.

LANX Medical Device (Denver, CO) – SAP R/3 - Quality Management Lead – Key deliverable to evaluate the current QM implementation and make recommendations for improvements and look for opportunities to implement additional key QM functionality.  There were a number of functional and process improvements made along with providing two full sets of documentation (Business Process Procedures) to ensure users better understood their SAP QM processes.  Settings were made to better use the QM functionality and quality control users were re-trained on the new settings and process changes.

Elster American Meter (Nebraska City, NE) – SAP R/3 - Quality Management Lead – Key items: 4 month project, which included 5 inspection types (Purchase Order Goods Receipts 01, Purchase Order Goods Receipts First Article 0101, Stock Transfers 08, Outbound Deliveries 10 and Floor Audits and Production First Article 89).  Vendor Release using Q-Info Records with Date and Quantity Release, No Lot Trigger and First Article functionality.  Defects Recording during inspection results recording and full use of Quality Notifications for Customer, Vendor and Internal Defects.  Also included creating a special CAPA/CAR notification type for corrective action/preventive action and root cause analysis. Created Certificates of Compliance for outbound deliveries.

Kohler Kitchens and Batch (Kohler, WI) – SAP R/3 - Quality Management Lead – Key items: 2 month project to help expand existing SAP QM functionality.  Made significant changes to the QM Notification processes by instituting better uses of the Notification entry, Reporting and redesigning the forms which were sent outside the company.  Also created a new Notification Type for Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) for correcting trending failures and significant events to ensure they no longer occur.  There were a number of smaller items worked on during this time to help improve QM processes.

KiSolutions (Irvin, CA) – Working with a third party ePedigree (FDA Requirements) system to integrate the package into SAP.  This requires identifying all the system touch points and triggers for passing data back and forth between the two systems.  Such a system is complex requiring full project life cycle (BPP’s, full testing, validation).

Med-Health Pharmaceutical Products (Las Vegas, NV) – SAP R/3 – Materials Management – Key items: 3 month rapid implementation.  Some of the items implemented in Materials Management were Batch Management, Batch Determination, Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Consumption Based Planning.  Some of the key items were Requisition Release Procedures, Purchase Contracts, Manufacturing Part Number and Quality Release.  FDA regulated environment requiring Validation throughout the project lifecycle.

Advance Electronics (Chicago, IL) – SAP R/3 – Quality Management Lead – Key items: Use of Production Goods Receipt Inspections (04) using Early Lot functionality. Additional features include Inspection Points, Defects Recording, PPM and SPC.  Designed interfaces using QMIDI function modules to receive test results from shop floor automated test equipment.  Use of SAP BW with QM info cubes.  Designed custom BW/QM extract specifications to retrieve additional key data during R/3 to BW data population.  Also, the use of BW BEx query functionality using standard queries and designing custom queries.

Leica Microsystems (Medical Device) (Chicago, IL) – Conducted a system audit for a CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) system in a validated environment.  The guidance used for conducting the audit was regulations 21CFR11, 21CFR820.100 and 21CFR820.198.  Some of the items audited were the Validation Plan, Validation Procedure, Validation Report, User Specifications, Program Specifications, Completed Test Scripts, relevant SOP’s and testing the system functionality against the above regulations.

King Pharmaceutical (Bristol, TN) – SAP R/3 – Quality Management and Materials Management Lead – Key items: Provided go-live support for plant rollouts which included issues resolution and master data load validations.  Also provided day to day production support for plants already live and recommendations for improvements to current processes.  Also, working on converting SAP Testing Scripts into an automated testing tool called Mercury Quick Test.  This included assisting in the development of SOP’s and protocols for designing and managing the automated test scripts.

Perrigo Pharmaceutical (Allegan, MI) – SAP R/3 – Quality Management Lead – Key items: Designed CAPA (Corrective Action Preventive Action) system using SAP Quality Notifications.  Notification Types:  Internal and External Unplanned Deviations along with Long Term Corrective Actions.  Also delivered a Retain Sample solution using SAP Sample Management.  All processes (business requirements, enhancement specifications, functional verifications, training, and authorizations) had to be validated using internal validation standards.

Sigma/Aldrich Chemical (St Louis, MO) – SAP R/3 – Quality Management Lead – Key items: Designed interface between SAP QM and external LIMS using QM-IDI interface Function Modules.  Interface sent inspection data from SAP QM to external LIMS.  Once testing completed in LIMS, the test results were passed back to SAP along with Inspection Point Confirmations and Usage Decisions.
